The night is coming to an end and House of Bouton has a ton of work to do the next day! Mah-Jing definitely seems paranoid about his look fitting into the team’s collection. House of Bouton has no real completed looks for the models, as Team Unity seems to be ready to go. The models come in for their fitting and Alex’s dress is not fitting, so he has to make some changes. Nathalia was told her jacket had too much volume, so she is redoing it. House of Bouton has to scrap some of their looks and start over. He tells them to keep their eye on the moving parts. Tim seems to be thrown off by the colors.
He think’s Brik’s look looks like two different looks sewn together. For House of Bouton, he loves the leather jacket from Laurence. He wants them to own that it is a somber pallet. He question’s Nathalia’s jacket going with the other looks. TIM’S CRITIQUES – For Team Unity, he said it looks modern. Now Team Button Bag is House of Bouton! Since this challenge is sponsored by Mary Kay, we get to watch the makeup consultations. They are back in the workroom and Mah-Jing is definitely feeling like an outsider, as four are roommates and their friend and him. That means Team Unity has $2,200 and Team Button Bag has $800! I guess Alex failed on that pitch, huh? The teams go shopping at Mood and Mah-Jing feels like his team doesn’t respect him.
Heidi – She gives $600 to Button Bag and $400 to Unity.Zac – He gives $800 to Button Bag and $200 to Unity.The mystery investors just happen to be Heidi Klum, Zac Posen and Nina Garcia and they each have $1,000 to invest. Alex has experience in it, but he is so monotone and makes the collection seem boring to me. To be honest, you would think that Team Unity was stronger, but I am thinking Team Button Bag might shock us tonight! Alex does the pitch for Team Unity and Dexter for Team Button Bag and they both do very well. The teams meet and come up with their plans. Team Button Bag – Brik, Tasha, Laurence, Erin, Dexter and Jenni.Team Unity – Rik, Alex, Roberi, Cornelius, Mah-Jing and Nathalia.Each designer on the winning team will get $5,000 for their business! The teams are: The budget will be based on how much money they get from mystery investors, which they will pitch their ideas to, and have one day for this challenge. They will have to create a cohesive four-piece collection. I would think swimwear would not be as hard as creating looks for the other challenges, but I was wrong! These designers were really struggling with the teeny bikinis, but it ended up being Jenni and Sarah in the bottom two.
